I have been wracking my brain on ways to use lots of my new Nabi 3D holo polishes, and I decided to delve into my “nail ideas” folder. This beautiful mani by Raggio di Luna jumped out at me! I had to recreate it (finally…its been months), but decided on a pink and purple palette to fit today’s 31 Day Challenge theme.
The base polish color here is Cinnahon, a pale pinkish orange. It has a very strong linear holo effect, with visible rainbows even in indoor lighting. Two coats for opacity.
Against the pale pink, it is very clear just how hot pink the hot pink polish is! I also love both the purples. Surprisingly shiny, and easy to work with.
I added the lines and dots from Raggio di Luna’s concept, because I think they make it look like a stitched quilt! Hence the title of this mani.
Again, there is no topcoat as I only own a quick dry coat and I wanted to preserve the holo-ness.
Colors (they are oh so original….)
- Light pink: Nabi – Cinnahon
- Hot pink: Nabi – Hot Pink
- Purple: Nabi – Purple
- Dark purple: Nabi – Dark Purple
- Black: Julie G – Black Sheep
Hope you enjoyed todays holographic patchwork goodness! Even if it was incredibly girly 🙂 and don’t forget to check out what other colors have inspired people’s manis today!
