As I have mentioned previously, I hate the color yellow. I bought my first yellow polish with one goal in mind: to create pencil erasers on my fingertips. It has taken me almost 6 months to finally go through with this goal, but I like the result!
I don’t know what captivated me about this design. I think I saw it somewhere vaguely on pinterest a long while back, and it just stuck with me. So, when I won another yellow polish in a recent giveaway (ugh, yellow!) I decided to use my yellows to create pencils. And an eraser 😀
The base for this mani is Mind Your Own Beeswax by Spoiled. It took three coats to be opaque, but the coats went on very smooth and dried remarkably fast! It is a deep yellow shimmer polish. My only complaint is with the brush: it was very thick and not very flexible. I made quite a mess out of my pinky since my nail-bed is so narrow!
The secret to this design was actually in the dark silver polish. I chose a metallic polish so I could magnetize it and bring some depth to the silver! I think it came out rather awesome.
- Yellow: Spoiled – Mind Your Own Beeswax
- Light yellow: Revlon – Electric
- Orange: Wet n’ Wild – Sunny Side Up
- Dark silver: Nails Inc – Trafalgar Square
- Silver: A England – Excalibur
- Black: Julie G – Black Sheep
- Pink: Sinful Colors – Pink Forever
I know class has already started, but I feel much more prepared to TA with these on my nails!
Hope you enjoyed!
