I interrupt the winter/holiday themed manis for a Nerdtastic Tuesday! For my MIT class reunion (pi reunion, 3.14 years post graduation!) I decided to do an MIT themed mani. The school colors are dark red/black/silver/white, so I used that palate!
My ring finger to pointer are M I and T….in a suitably nerdy fashion.
M: e=mc^2 so the 4th finger is e/c^2
I: i = sqrt(-1) so the middle finger is sqrt(-1)
T: PV=nRT (the ideal gas law), thus T = PV/nR
My pinky is just MIT, while my thumb is the actual MIT logo used for my class, MIT 2010! Most of my fingers have a red to black gradient, which I think came out really well! The red base was ONE coat of Forever Festive. Loving this red!
- Red: Revlon – Forever Festive
- Black: Julie G – Black Sheep
- White: Julie G – White Orchid
- Silver: Nails Inc – Trafalger Square
When I searched “MIT nails” (as I am wont to do before attempting a random nail art mani, to see if there is anything to inspire me) I was SHOCKED to find that there were 0 hits! So I am glad to introduce, I think, the first MIT-themed manicure 😀
