Today’s mani is simple, fast, and actually rather pretty. I only used two nail polishes, and it was done in about 20 minutes! The longest part was fishing for glitters.
The base is Into the Night by OPI from the Spiderman collection. I must say, I was disappointed in this polish. In the bottle, it looks like a deep blue with shimmer. However, it took 4 coats to be opaque on the nail (and they were not all that thin). Luckily, the control with these tiny bottle brushes is good so I didn’t make a mess everywhere! The polish did level nicely, and the final result is ok. I wrapped my tips on only one coat, and you can still see the tips. Sad.
The gold is from I Found a Pot of Gold from Sephora by OPI. It is a gold glitter polish with suspended gold holographic diamonds…which in my version of the polish are having a hard time remaining suspended! I really had to fish and invert the bottle to get any diamonds…so I decided to pull them out and place them individually. On my accent nail and thumb, I painted just using the polish (and as you can probably tell, no diamonds came out), and then hand placed a diamond.
Overall, not half bad for a quick mani! Both polishes used were sub-par, but I’m somewhat ok with that.
Hope you enjoyed!
