After my fail with argyle nails, I wanted to redeem the lovely deep pink polish of Visions of Love. This manicure came out MUCH better. A comment by Jacqui at Craftynail reminded me of my roots…swirling things! On my nails! So I went with that in order to figure out if I actually liked this new polish. I do!
Visions of Love by OPI is a deep pink metallic polish. It has just a hint of a blackened shimmer as well, and is beautiful. I don’t tend to go for pink polishes, but this one is almost red, so I’ll let it pass. Shown here is two coats, no top coat. The polish was very easy to control and dried fast (as metallics tend to).
I decided to add a gradient to black (since gradients are something I also used to love to do that I seem to forget exist) using Black on Black by Sinful Colors. I’ve almost gone through the whole bottle of polish! Eeek. The swirls were added with my new favorite gold, Essie Penny Talk.
And of course, I added dots. I’m really into dots. And swirled dots. It’s just a good time for swirling things! This type of art is much easier than painstakingly drawing out a design on paper first. Although, I do miss some of my more structured designs. I need inspiration!
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed these nails as much as I did 🙂
