Ocean Swirl

This is another case of random polish just lining up right to strike my fancy. While cleaning my bathroom, I accidentally pushed these 5 polishes (not the darkest blue) into rainbow order. Ah ha! This manicure was born.

Honestly, my favorite part of this manicure was my boyfriend’s reaction. I shoved my nails in his face (as always) and asked him what he thought. “I don’t like it. It looks like airport walls”. He is totally right….and I love it anyway!

I am actually rather happy at how little the top coat dulled the holo! My normal top coat turns the Nabi 3D polishes into shimmers. I still get some rainbow with this new top coat (review coming soon, I promise).

The base here is 3 very quick drying coats of Nabi Gold, a subtly holographic mustard yellow polish. I don’t like it alone (maybe that is why there are so few yellow/gold holo polishes?), but it does look cool in the gradient!

  • Gold: Nabi – Gold
  • Light green: Nabi – Green
  • Green: Darling Diva – Green Diamond
  • Teal: Nabi – Ocean Blue
  • Blue: Nabi – Dark Blue
  • Dark blue: A England – Tristam
  • Black: Sinful Colors – Black on Black

Hope you enjoyed! And if you think of airport wallpaper rather than the ocean depths, that’s on you (and my boyfriend)!

  5. I’d fly off from such an airport at any time! Your nails look gorgeous! 😀
