Sometimes, conventional gradients just won’t cut it. That’s when you turn to something cool, like an internal fade. This art was made using 4 polishes that fade from dark copper, through gold, to silver! What’s more, there was no “art” involved…just the polish brush 🙂
I had been seeing this style float around for a while, the particular inspiration of this one came from Dressed Up Digits. She used a series of blue cremes, while I chose to go with golden metallics. In retrospect, cremes might have worked better!
I think I need to try this again, using cremes (so the light doesn’t shine off the polish quite so much) and leaving more space between each color! You can barely see some of the golden polishes.
- Dark copper: Pure Ice – Magic
- Copper: Zoya – Penny
- Gold: Essie – Penny Talk
- Silver: A England – Excalibur
These nails looked almost gilded when I was done! Pretty cool. Even if you can’t easily see the color transition, the effect still mostly worked!
Hope you enjoyed!
