**Sorry for the late post, today has been crazy!** Late March was a bad time for my wallet. I splurged, and ended up with 2 butterLONDONs, 2 piCture pOlishes, and 1 Emily de Molly polish. But wow, was it worth it! Up today, we have what might be my new favorite polish, Turbulence by Emily de Molly.
I just cannot get over this polish. I had been stalking restocks on llarowe for months, and then just found it in stock (only 1 left) on a random thursday! I guess they found one sitting on a back shelf and listed it. IT IS MINE! (*my precious…*). I don’t like buying expensive polish, but I figured this was fate. I am so glad I bought it!
Turbulence is a complex mix of glitter in a deep blue jelly base. I see silver holographic diamonds (diamonds? in polish? ok awesome), silver and blue large hexes, turquoise circles, smaller pink, purple, and blue hexes, and very small blue, purple, and lime green hexes. Somehow, the blue/pink/green mix plus the diamonds just make this polish extraordinary. I…I just can’t. I used two coats of Turbulence over a deep blue creme, but next time I might try three coats on its own to see if I can get more glitter depth!
I was attending a bridal shower, so I did my accent nails to match my dress (blue and purple flowers). It all works!
- Blue glitter: Emily de Molly – Turbulence
- Dark blue: Maybelline – Shocking Seas
- Purple: Sinful Colors – Fig
- Light blue: Darling Diva – Blue Diamond
- Silver: Color Club – Harp On It
I was going to add rhinestones to the center of the flowers on my accent nails, but it just looked too busy so I removed them. The accent nails don’t matter anyway….GLITTER!! Blue glitter! Ahh, nail love.
