Happy nerdy tuesday! My favorite nail day of the week, currently 🙂 Today’s post are little tiny minecraft ore blocks!
For those of you who have never played minecraft, its like a digital lego world. You explore a huge world with no objective other than whatever you want. You can create tools and items using your surroundings (scrape at a tree to get wood, turn the wood into an axe and get more wood, or into a pickaxe and mine underground!). The objectives you can set for yourself are almost limitless. Most recently, after creating a very long glass highway in the sky, I started making a floating ship (because you can build in the air if you play your cards right).
One of the key things in minecraft is ore. Minerals that you need are encased in stone, and you have to mine the stone to get the minerals. 5 of the 7 main ores are shown here: diamond (pinky), redstone (ring), lapis lazuli (middle), gold (pointer), and iron (thumb). The two that are missing are emerald (which I’ve never actually seen, it’s very rare in the game) and coal.
Anyway, it is an absurdly fun game if you like adventures where you get to set your own goals, and you can even chose to play with friends and create a group world. Or just go digging for treasure.
I used too many colors here for me to want to list them all. If you are curious, just ask! I will say that I used HK Girl by Glisten&Glow to make sure my top coat did not smear my design…that would have made me so sad!
Long live minecraft! And nerdy nail art.
