I love green polish. Really, truly, I do. I also love micro glitter polishes. It is crazy that I didn’t own any green micro glitters until this beauty, Ivanka by Zoya! This polish is actually kinda fun and kinda tricky…easy to control, but you need many layers. I think that is the secret behind the crazy glitter depth you get!
In the bottle, Ivanka almost looks like a green-to-blue glitter duochrome. It isn’t. The base of the polish is actually a blue/teal jelly, with a butt-ton of green glitter in it! The polish took 3-4 thin coats (4 on my ring finger) to reach opacity. However, it dried fast and oh MAN is it stunning! It dried fast enough that I had no problem stamping over it in about 20 minutes. What confused me was the first layer…it was clearly a blue color! Then I got more of the glitter layered on and everything made sense. This polish removes very easily (I was very pleasantly surprised), like a creme.
I wish I had a scale stamp! I didn’t have time to free-hand fish scales, so I just went ahead and stamped on a floral pattern (BM 203) and put green glequins (Born Pretty Store) in the middle. Simple, but effective!
I think you will be seeing a lot more of Ivanka. She is stunning. Of my three new Zoyas, I think she is my favorite.
