What better art to do when you are pressed for time than a simple gradient dotticure! Love me some dots. And LOVE me these polishes!
I really don’t have much to say about this. Dots. Black, white, grey. I have now played with 7/12 of the Textured Earth Tone polishes and I think this grey might be my absolute favorite. It just looks so…rich. Velvety. Its a nice DARK grey, which is a color I don’t even have in my collection, never mind in matte!
The grey base is Pozzolana by Mentality. Shown here is two very thin coats (it dries faster and will, indeed, provide great coverage even if applied thin). I don’t even think I had to clean around my cuticles! Its like the color of freshly poured concrete. I’m obsessed. I already have two other manis planned with this color, but I suppose I’ll have to wait and go through the other remaining ones first :-p
The dots were made with an unbent hairpin and paperclip. The black is Asphalt by Mentality (which you saw on Wednesday) and the White is Spackle (I can remember that name!).
Despite being super simple, this came out really elegant. I hope you enjoyed! And here’s to hoping I get on top of my game and actually have a post ready for Monday. Between Yom Kippur, the Renaissance Faire, and traveling this weekend, I’m going to have my work cut out for me!
