This mani was inspired by Pshiiit and her dry watermable thingie. For a step-by-step check out her post. Basically, you watermarble without the marbling (don’t run a toothpick or anything through the water, just leave the rings), transfer it to a piece of plastic, and once it is dry cut it apart.
My attempt was not as good as hers…my polish cracked! I tried three color combos (I still like Pshiiit’s best) and a lot of the polishes didn’t want to play nice together. Really, I think I need to stick to using all the same brand, or at least ones bought around the same time (so they are the same consistency). It’s been a while since I’ve tried to marble!
The hardest part of this was getting the polish off the plastic wrap without ripping it to shreds! Although cutting it to size was also a bit of a challenge. I forgot how much I hate reds (and cleaning them off my cuticles).
Unfortunately, I have zero memory of which polishes I actually ended up using for this. It was some crazy combo of pinks, peaches, reds, and purples. *shrug*
Hope you enjoyed! I might try this again with polish that is easier to marble with, I do like the whole smooth-concentric-ring thing!
