This was the other mani I did on my return from Thailand. I kept staring at Yuna (the grey-with-gold glitter polish) and thinking how it was a shame that I’ve only used it maybe twice.
After painting my nails grey (I do love that polish. I think it might be subtle enough that I can wear it to the hospital when I have to resume my medical school duties! I have no idea what I am doing with the rest of my too-bright polishes while I have to play doctor :-/), I stared at them for a bit. In the past, I paired Yuna with purple and yellow (which was a failure). So what now?
This time, the green in the polish reminded me of a pale green rhinestone set I had, and so I pulled out some 3D glitter and The More The Merrier by Essie and just randomly started applying striping tape! This was supposed to be a quick mani…it ended up taking an hour because striping tape always takes longer than it should!
And then dots. I always add dots. So, spontaneous green and grey mani! Enjoy. (This post was probably more stream-of-consciousness than usual. Sorry!)
(There is also a small part of me that wishes I had posted this yesterday and the rainbow nails today, because gay marriage was just declared legal by the Supreme Court and rainbow nails would have been an awesome statement!)
