Sometimes stamping decals look great, and sometimes they look a bit odd. This one looks a bit odd. It also has NO green despite it being Saint Patrick’s Day because the holiday makes me cringe. In Philadelphia, for the weekends surrounding St Patties Day, college students and young professionals come out of the woodwork to go on effectively a bar crawl of all the “irish pubs” in the city, including the one close to my apartment. In the middle of the day. And all day. So you end up with very drunk 20-somethings in bright green and facepaint acting incredibly dumb and often belligerent for two straight weekends, and I just cannot deal. Maybe I’d like the holiday better if I lived anywhere else, but here in Philly I just hate it. Ergo, no green.
I paired a grey-purple glitter polish with dark purple, black, and gold. The colors came out exactly how I expected…but the light purple base got wrinkly when I added the decal! Since most of the decal is see-through, you can actually see the wrinkles. So strange!
Despite that, I actually think the wrinkles look cool. It meant that the polish wasn’t smooth and shiny even when top coated, but that happens a lot of the time anyway.

~ Black: Sinful Colors – Black on Black
~ Purple: Sinful Colors – Muse
~ Stamp: EdM – 22
The end pattern looked like celtic knots, so have some knots! Given that today is Saint Patrick’s Day I figure knots are Irish enough. Maybe. Let’s pretend.
