Wintry Twirls

The stamp I used here is a bit odd. It is mostly swirls and twirls, but also has stars and for some reason a pine tree? Either way, I seemed like something fun to use in the wintertime…and even more fun to randomly cover with golden shimmery glitter!

Basically, this is another ‘stamp with white over nude and add GLITTER’ which, in addition to swirly designs, seems to be my MO when I need something somewhat subtle but still fun. I also just quietly enjoy the subtle shimmer in the nude base.

I feel the need to give a little shout-out to this particular stamping plate, I don’t use it often because I own so many darn stamps…but it is super deeply etched and always transfers beautifully. I should move it to the front of my image plates, not the back!

That’s it for today! One last final boring mani on Friday, and then we can move on to more colorful things 🙂

  1. Hi , love this, subtle yet sparkle and fanciness! What is bp 43, is that born pretty? how do you keep your nails nice, are they naturally strong, do you have a base of gel polish on them, or do you use silk wraps Etc? I’ve certainly known some people whose Nails just grow strong and wonderful . My mom’s mom had nails that reminded me of a pistachio nut , I don’t mean that curved, I just mean they were naturally hard LOL. mine never grow much without a tear, which is why I am asking if yours are naturally strong or what you do to help them out .
    thank you for your time.

    • Hi Sandy, BP 43 is a stamping plate, in this case yes from Born Pretty. My nails are just my normal nails, when I first got into nail art my nails would peel and were very soft so I used the OPI Nail Envy base coat for soft and peeling nails for about a year. At this point I just use a base of regular Nail Envy or OPI Base Coat 1-2 layers under each mani and it keeps them pretty strong! No silk, no gel. Hope that helps!

  2. Love these subtle manis. It always suprises me how sweet they look.
