I might need to steal the idea of the last design, dust motes, for next saturday’s topic for #novemberlackliebe over at instagram because I think this could look super cool for the topic “black & white”.
as a note…whats on my middle finger is now a stamp in the newest bundle monster stamping kit. so its easier just to stamp if you arent great a dots yet! that mani probably took me 1.5 hours.
Hey i did a recreation of you birds of a feather mani a few months ago. Are you on instagram? I would like to tag you in it. If you would like to see it my instagram is @hand_bananass.
OMG, I didn’t realize you finished your PhD!! As a status symbol, I will add you to my Bookmarked sites, OK? Great work on both fronts. Now what will you do with yourself, professionally speaking?
Oh, I really thought that despite spending well over two hours a day reading emails/blogs I had fallen behind on news!
BTW, for a “girl” who won’t buy polish unless it is over half-off, you managed to assemble a very notable collection!!
Speaking of which, what are they talking about re Mentality’s suspension base(s) that are the cause of nail separating from nail bed? Which polishes used the particularly “poisonous” base? I just ordered two collections which were on very good discount/sale and now don’t know whether those are the dangerous ones: does square bottles mean safe to use?
I couldn’t get through to Mentality by email; can’t blame them for that at this time of their “Walking in the Fires of Hell.”
Yah for sure. So, only some people are sensitive to the base (I’m one of them as it turns out, but only about 30-40% of people are). If they are in square bottles, you are fine. If the labels are printed on a sticker, you are fine. If they labels are printed directly on the bottle it is a toss up…some of them are from the bad batch and some aren’t. My advice would be to try one of the polishes on for 24 hours…if your nails start tingling or feeling weirdly sensitive take it off immediately and you should be 100% fine. The bad stuff (nail lifting) only happens after at least 3 days of wear in my experience. If your nails don’t feel odd, keep the polish on and see what happens! All the stuff they are making as of 3 weeks ago is with the new base, and the older batch of base is fine…so I really couldn’t say without testing it myself unfortunately!
I very much appreciate the explanation about which M. polish to watch out for. I had put in an order a week or so ago which I still haven’t received and was concerned except it appears not to be in the dangerous time frame so I should be OK.

Do you have a how too polishing video
Nope, no videos! I don’t have a youtube channel, so there would be no point to trying to record one. What is it you would like to know?

If the bottles are square (which all the new ones should be) then you’re fine!
