This was was fun. I decided that Apricity looked like magical sparkles (all the little purple glitters and the larger purple squares and the greyed-out background) and so I went with something magical over it. In retrospect I wish I had used a darker stamping polish, but I do kinda love this manicure!
Apricity by Cadillacquer was one of my Thanksgiving weekend buys, and it is super pretty. It is a greyed out teal, think rainy day, but filled with tiny and small glitters of purple plus larger purple squares. I love square glitter. Other than circle glitter it is my absolute favorite. This polish is very jelly-like, so it took 4 coats. This would not generally be something I was pleased by, but due to how thin it was you could see SO MUCH GLITTER DEPTH. It was actually stunning and I will wear it again despite its 4 coat requirement.
I decided that something which looked like magical glitter sparkles (I was having a 12-year-old-girl moment) deserved mythical creatures. So I grabbed a Fairytale plate from MoYou London and went to town with pegasus! Little known fact: pegasus is one of my favorite mythical creatures because it is a standard pretty creature (horse) but with WINGS. Everyone else is always into unicorns. I like things that fly 🙂

In the end I didn’t adore this manicure, mostly because the stamping did not stand out as sharply as I would have liked. That said, I love the polish and it was overall a fun idea! Hope you enjoyed!
I have been staring at this bit of nail art by jamylyn_nails for months, and only now finally had the time to try it…and a new blue polish to try it with!
The base is an OPI I got on sale at ULTA called Yoga-ta Get This Blue. I feel like I saw something I wanted to replicate that used this polish a few months ago, but I can’t for the life of me figure out where the design went! Anyway. Blue (that name is too long. Ugh. OPI, I get it, you are being cute but ENOUGH ALREADY) covered nicely in two thin coats. It was actually a one-coater but I smudged my middle finger so I did two coats everywhere! This polish is wonderfully opaque and I can’t wait to try stamping with it! Totally a steal for $4 😀
The design took a little over an hour to complete, which was far less time than I had assumed it would take! The pumpkin coach was a pain, but the curlicues were fun! The original design had Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother on the pinky, but I didn’t have the patience to try…or acrylic paint! So, we just get sparkles.

In other news, the gold on the pumpkin was the wrong gold…I have two gold dense glitters and I grabbed the less dense one! No wonder I had so much trouble. Go figure. I need to label my polishes better.
Hope you enjoyed! This has rekindled my Disney-lust, so if I get a few hours to myself I’ll do another princess mani soon 🙂
A while back I did a guest post for Luchessa with nails based on a fairytale! I’m just going to do a brief recap here, since I took quite a few pictures :-p
The base polish is a beautiful green jelly by Sinful Colors called Exotic Green. I don’t know why, but I seem to be using my green polishes a LOT recently! I really love this color. SO SHINY.
I then painted scenes from the fairytale on my nails (a golden feather, grapes, wheat, an anchor, and the face of an old man). If you want a tutorial or would like to read my synopsis of this rather odd but cute fairytale, head over to Luchessa’s post!
