Copperized Patterns

A post! Sorry its so late. Today was my day off and I still barely got everything done! Also the Blues won the Stanley Cup and now the whole city is honking and cheering. I suppose I should be posting blue nail art but I have nothing prepared at the moment! The stadium (well, both hockey and baseball) are about a mile from my house and there are helicopters circling overhead at the moment.

IMG_3229

Anyway, this was a very fast manicure. Beautiful multichrome holo polish and a matching stamp. Ta-da! It helps that this stamp is both playful and elegant :-p

Hope you guys enjoy, despite the late-ness! I am already dreading my shift in the emergency room tomorrow morning, I assume it will be full of people who over-indulged following the hockey win!

Helenium in Pink

Apparently a helenium (also called sneezeweed) is a flower whose petals bend distinctly downward. Turns out it is generally a yellow/orange/red flower, and I painted it in pink, but it is the only flower I can easily find with petals like this! Also hi, enjoy some pink flowers 🙂

IMG_0469

The base color here is a new-to-me pastel multichrome by POP Polish called Watermelon Bubbleslick. I bought two of these “pastel multichromes” because I had to see if they compared to their swatches…and honestly they do. Of all of the polishes in the pastel “slick” collection this is the one I wanted the most. And it does not disappoint! It is made up of tiny flakes, so it doesn’t have the mirror-metallic appearance of many of the darker multichromes. Despite that, it is stunning. It took 3 coats for full coverage, but it dries fast. It goes from a vivid bright pink, through silver/pale blue and right to bright green just on my nail…without moving the nail. I don’t need to even tilt my fingers to see the colors. Its astounding! At $16 its still pretty pricy, but I don’t own anything like this.

IMG_0374

I then went and advanced stamped some flowers. I used all 4 stampers in my collection (one on each of my four fingers…my thumb was a re-use) and I have to say I have NO IDEA how we all stamped for so many years before clear stampers! Don’t get me wrong, of my 3 clear stampers I only LIKE one of them (although all three picked up this image nicely) but trying to use my old Nosh double-headed pink opaque stamper and position it was a nightmare. Anyway. In retrospect I should have used pinks that were closer to each other in hue for the petals, but I was having fun. Maybe next time I’ll actually make it match better :-p

If you can’t tell the difference between Kelsey and Morgan I won’t tell anyone…I’m not sure I can either! Whoops. Anyway, this manicure was a lot of fun to make, more fun to wear, and even looking at it makes me want to put Watermelon Bubbleslick back on! I imagine this will get a lot of use in the summer :-D. Hope you enjoyed!

Marching Copper Trees

To be fair, when I painted these (well, stamped them) it was a few weeks out from Christmas. I always thought this particular stamp looked rather like christmas trees if you only used half of it! Otherwise it looks like stylized stalactites and stalagmites.

Of course, any manicure using an awesome mutlichrome and a rose gold stamping polish is going to look pretty good. This was easy to make pretty!

Short, sweet, and straightforward! If it helps, the reason this post is so short is that I am taking Step 3 of the medical board exam tomorrow. And Friday. Because of course it is a two day test *grumble grumble* but after this Friday I am free again!

Green on Golden Gateways

This was INTENDED to be my New Years manicure, but I decided it made more sense to post my Top 10 early and these late! But, they are sparkly, shifty, and weirdly colored (which I think will end up being a theme this week).

img_2648

I am not sure why I decided that Walrus went well with Chance, but I was fiddling with colors and I ended up here. Orange with green is not my typical go-to but I kinda like how it turned out! I also really like this stamp 😀

That’s it for today! Wednesday is going to be more weird glittery shifty things that kinda don’t go with their corresponding stamp color. *shrug* happy New Year?

Top 10 Nail Art of 2018

With the help of my ever-tolerant husband, I have picked out my top 10 posts of this year (well, 11 really). They are, surprisingly, not the most loved on instagram, but IG users have some weird preferences! Without further ado, here we go:

May 21st: Aloha (which uses one of my top 10 polishes of the year, Traverse the Skies by Emily de Molly)
IMG_8800

June 20th: Down the Incline, because multichrome gradients are amazing
IMG_2051

July 30th: Ocean Surf, because this might be the first 3D manicure I made that actually looked awesome. Also, beach!
IMG_2409

August 3rd: Messy Green Blue Gradient…I felt like I needed at least one gradient stamped with some combination of designs from Make Your Mark 02, since I did a whole bunch of them! Among the lot, I think this was my overall favorite.
IMG_2492

September 3rd: Mountain Sunset. This begins the set from the 31 Day Challenge this year, where most of my favorite manis tend to live!
IMG_9113

September 5th: Porcelain Roses, which have the dubious honor of having taken the longest of any nail art done in 2018 (that actually looked good) at ~4 hours. But they are SO DARN PRETTY!
IMG_0378

September 10th: Peek-a-Rainbow, which I think wins the ‘most ridiculously rainbow’ award for the year, and also has the pleasure of being the nails I was actually wearing for my birthday.
IMG_2719

September 14th: Gnarly Blossoms. Probably the second most time consuming manicure, and possibly my overall personal favorite. Yet again features Traverse the Skies because apparently my intricate floral nails must exist on a blurple shimmery background 😀
IMG_6909

September 28th: Cascading Rainbow Dots, which is possibly my most original nail art of the year? Inspired by an awesome teacup. Almost equally rainbow-y to my rainbow nails two up.
IMG_1373

October 1st: Holland, which was a direct copy from someone else’s design but is such a pretty reverse stamp scenery piece that I had to include it!
IMG_4583

Sadly, I didn’t post any designs that I loved after the 31 Day Challenge, although I have a few saved up that I should get around to putting up shortly (if I can get my act together)!

And finally my honorable mention, because this was super easy (its just advanced stamping) but it came out so beautifully…March 21st: Trailing Flowers
IMG_6032

Did I miss any of your particular favorites? I had an initial list of 16 that I wanted to post so there are 5 manis floating on my blog this year that almost made the cut!

Interlocking Greatness

Yes, it is a pun off the name of the polish, yes I am a goofball! Also, today formally begins the series of holiday-appropriate nail art. This one was painted during autumn but is honestly more red/green than orange/green which was the initial intent!

IMG_2695

Anyway, this is a very very simple manicure (as many are during things like residency). Just a polish and a stamp. Now, the polish happens to be a multichrome, and the stamp is a holo. Honestly, I didn’t think this color combo would work that well, but Dragon stamps amazingly well (I just need to acknowledge that A England makes polishes that stamp like magic).

IMG_2690

That’s it for today! Hope you enjoyed, and stay tuned for progressively more snow-themed and Christmas manis! My one hanukah mani is getting punted to next year :-p

Purple and Gold Galaxies

This mani tried so hard, but ultimately fell to the age-old adage: do not stamp over glitter with glitter (use a creme or a metallic). I started with a purple/gold multichrome but I was working too fast and my nails bubbled! So obviously I had to make a galaxy…but every time I tried to sponge on a new color I ended up hating it! I ended up just covering all the other sponged work with a dark purple glitter and some gold. Oh well!

IMG_4040

As mentioned above, I also wish I hadn’t stamped with a glitter. Metallics just work much better. I was trying to make everything sparkly but the end result is that it is difficult to see the designs! I’ll need to re-use this stamp again soon, it is super cool.

IMG_4041

Every time I work with Valerie I wish I used it more, but I am always afraid to! Zoya keeps discontinuing their prettiest polish. Zoya: MORE GLITTERS! YOUR GLITTERS ARE GREAT! Anyway…hope you enjoyed! And let the moral be do not stamp with glitter over a glittery base!

Darkened Red

This mani was a bit of a flop for me. I wanted to use a few of my favorite but seldom-worn polishes, and for some reason I decided to use all of them together. The end result was a little TOO shiny, if that is a thing!

IMG_0352

I knew I wanted to use Briarwood, because this polish GLOWS and yet I never reach for it! When perusing my nail polish supply, I realized that I am the Walrus matches Briarwood really well, so I made some chevrons. And then I wanted to delineate between the two colors, so why not some red-gold glitter? The end result was certainly glittery, but I feel like I maybe would have benefited from a cream polish in there. Somewhere. Just to tone down the shimmery finish a tad. Oops!

IMG_3678

Colors:
~ Vampy red holo: A England – Briarwood
~ Copper/red multichrome: Enchanted Polish – I am the Walrus

IMG_0331

I will say that in reality the shiftiness of Walrus was super cool, but it doesn’t come through in the photos because it was such a small patch of nail. Anyway, hope you enjoyed at least a little! Friday’s post is super colorful but has appropriate cream polishes :-p

Astral Shifts

Ok, so, I love this mani. I love how it looks, I love the colors, and I LOVE the magnet! I got a new magnetic polish from the Born Pretty Store to review…and somehow, unlike every other magnetic polish I own, this one works like a charm. Maybe I am just getting better, but the design on my pointer finger stayed looking perfect for three days. Most magnetic polishes just can’t do that!

IMG_3999

Anyway, this is two coats of Astral Realm over black. The first coat was thin and the second coat was thick; I magnetized both times (and again when I put top coat on, although the magnetic particles didn’t actually move). Astral Realm is a multichrome magnetic. I was doubtful at first, but its actually true! The shift is a bit more subtle than pure multichromes of the same color range, but it is definitely there. This polish shifts from a bright fuchsia to pink (the primary colors) and then to orange and gold. I even saw hints of green at sharp angles!

IMG_1184

I got a whole bunch of compliments on this at work. People were stopping me as I was typing on the computer to ask me how I got my nails to look like this :-D. I also love the stamps! When Whats Up Nails had their stamping sale, this is one of the 6 plates (oops!) that I picked up! I bought it on a whim but it has turned out to possibly be my favorite of the bunch. Stars! Moons! A super fancy sun! Anyway.

IMG_4005

It is rare that I only use three colors in a mani, especially when only two of them are visible! But the magnetic polish was cool enough that I thought adding anything else to this would be a waste.

IMG_4012

~ Magnetic multichrome: Born Pretty (Magnetic Aurora Series) – Astral Realm

IMG_1224

That’s all for today! I hope you enjoyed! In case anyone was curious…my pinky I just magnetized the very edge of my cuticle, for the ring and middle I used one of those strong magnetics to make a line (diagonal vs horizontal), my pointer I used a repeating diagonal line full-nail magnet, and my thumb I pushed around the polish using the rounded head of a strong double-sided magnetic wand. You can pick up Astral Realm at the Born Pretty Store for $5.39, which is a lot for a tiny 6ml bottle, but it does work!

Twisted Triangles

How about some silver triangles on a multichrome glitter base? Don’t mind if I do!

IMG_9526

I don’t really know where this manicure came from, just that I wanted to play with Aurora and felt like using a funky triangle stamp. I do love funky geometric stamps! Lets be honest, a lot of stamps are things I could do freehand if I just had enough time. But perfect swirls and perfect geometric lines I could not do without hours! Which is probably why most of my favorite stamps are either straight lines or swirly bits.

IMG_3138

Colors:
~ Black: Sinful Colors – Black on Black

IMG_9531

That’s it for today! But happy Friday, and I hope you enjoyed the multichrome shininess of Aurora as much as I did! It almost doesn’t matter in this age of a million multichromes, but I had Aurora long before multichrome toppers were much of a thing :-p yes I am a hipster nail polish owner.

Ginkgo Green

While finishing up my move from the east coast to the midwest, I re-did my nails. After 4 days of packing my nails were a DISASTER, and with only one day left I figured maybe whatever I put on them would survive (at least until unloading)!

18-06-05 Ginko Green

I had set aside (aka did not pack) about 10 polishes, 6 cool colors that I thought I might want to wear, and 4 “necessary” polishes: black, white, gold, and silver, all suitable for stamping. For this mani I grabbed one of the two greens I had out, O R’YLEH by Great Lakes Lacquer, and stamped with some gold ginkgo leaves using Good as Gold by Essie!

IMG_2913

I had most of my full set of rectangular plates out as well, just because they pack nicely so I figured it would be ok to put them straight into my to-go suitcase. For some reason, these leaves spoke to me! They are from BPX plate L018, which is full of leaves, flowers, and birds.

IMG_2870

That’s all for now! The photos look a bit wonky because I had packed away my usual set up, and was basically using my iPhone for all photos (generally my iPhone takes the sunlight/outdoor photos but my 14 year old cannon takes the indirect lighting photos). Oh well!

IMG_2888

Hope you enjoyed!

Popping Teal Bubbles

See, no more magnets! Instead you get a multichrome topper over not black? I don’t know what I was thinking but here we go!

IMG_9551

I wanted to try Aurora over a dark teal base. And then I decided that bubbles were appropriate? My nails under this are a DISASTER. I painted these just after I finished moving apartments, and my ring finger tore to the quick (and is heavily patched), AND my middle finger somehow shattered, but I was able to file the surface to somewhat smooth and apply 4 coats of base coat in a desperate attempt to hold it together, and my pointer folded down the middle. I won’t even mention my poor short thumb nail…I lost both corners on subsequent days! Suffice to say my nails are a disaster and this is one of the last right-handed manis you guys will be seeing for a while!

IMG_3153

Despite all the devastation, I think the mani looks surprisingly cool? The teal base blunted a bit of the color shift in Aurora but you can still see both the green and certainly the purple shift. Also, I like this stamp!

IMG_9476

That’s all for today! Next week we move on to less…experimental…manis (even if they will mostly be left-handed). Enjoy!

Down the Incline

This was a fun mani to put together! I always love combining multichromes an seeing what comes out of them. This was especially rewarding because I had never come up with an idea on how to use these stamps before and I love how it came out!

IMG_2051

So, between a multichrome gradient and two different colored stamps, I ended up with a big of a complicated mani. I don’t care. For once, complicated works!

IMG_7929

Also, this mani is a bit of a temporal milestone: I officially start residency tomorrow (in the cardiac intensive care unit) AND it’s my 30th birthday tomorrow. So, I am leaving behind my 20’s, and starting to care for really sick patients in one go. This also means that, while I will try, my posting schedule is likely to get a bit wonky while I am staffing the CCU!

IMG_2040

~ Purple holo multichrome: Enchanted Polish – I am the Walrus
~ Rose gold: Essie – Penny Talk
~ Black: Sinful Colors – Black on Black
~ Stamps: [not in english] – L005

IMG_7921

I only used two multichromes in the gradient on these nails, so while the other colors do shine through, the primary purple is Undenied, and the primary gold is Greatness. Hope you enjoyed, and happy early birthday to me!

Swatch Test: Purple/Gold Multichromes and Dark Red Glitters

Purple/Gold Multichromes: Basically, there are two “families” of multichromes here, the red-gold-green type and the indigo-fuschia-gold type. And of course, one holo of the red to green variety because holos are awesome so why not!

IMG_7840

Pinky to thumb:
~ Pinky: Born Pretty – 212 (over black creme)
~ Ring: ILNP – Greatness
~ Middle: ILNP – Undenied
~ Pointer: ILNP – Tilted
~ Thumb: Enchanted Polish – I am the Walrus

IMG_7830

All 5 polishes took three coats, although Undenied could likely have been opaque at two. The contrasts are interesting. Tilted is a bit more sheer and so you get more of the shift (it goes indigo to green through magenta and orange) but the shift only shows up at a more dramatic angle…most of the time it really is just a purple. Undenied only goes indigo to magenta and is a darker color, but the shift to the magenta happens at a less sharp angle so you can really see the shift easily. I don’t know which I like better, but I am parting with one of them!

IMG_7837

212 and Greatness are kinda similar, Greatness starts red and goes to orange and gold, while 212 really starts orange-red and goes to gold. 212 is much less impressive, but does have the benefit of really looking like fall leaves! Walrus has almost the exact shift of Greatness, but obviously has scattered holo to it.

———————————————————-

Dark Red Glitters: So this was a bit of a pain, because I again wanted to get rid of a few and I don’t know what to do! The colors I thought I would dislike in hindsight are some of the prettier ones!

IMG_7511

From pinky to pointer (my thumb was also Blaze, so I didn’t show it here):
~ Pinky: Shimmer Polish – Eva
~ Ring: Zoya – Blaze
~ Middle: Pure Ice – All Nighter
~ Pointer: Zoya – India

IMG_7514

So, both Zoyas (Blaze and India) were two-coaters, Eva and Nighter were three. I like Nighter more than I remember! It is surprisingly juicy. Despite sharing a name, I still hate Eva. She is a pain in the butt to remove since the polish is 100% glitter, does not cover evenly, and honestly still shows some nail line at 3 coats. I want to keep the polish because it shares my name, but I am also never likely to use it again! Maybe I can try and make dragon eggs out of it. I don’t know. Ugh.I am definitely keeping India and Nighter. I should keep Blaze as it was one of my very first Zoyas (I got Blaze, Storm, and Ziv in one of the New Years sales back in 2012), even if calling it a scattered holo now makes me laugh. It is barely a holo at all! Indie polishes are awesome for holo 🙂 This week, I think I have only decided to get rid of 3 polishes, I am far below what I was aiming for!

Purple Tilting Gold

This is one of my recent favorites! I was going to throw it into a “favorites” week (I have a few on back log) but I ran out of manis on my computer and I needed a last minute edit so here we go!

IMG_5543

The design is actually very simple, but the polishes are anything but! A purple multichrome gradient with a gold multichrome, a deep triangle of gold glitter, and then stamping on a black triangle. The black triangle initially looked matte (as most stamped designs do) and I ended up LOVING how that looked so I re-matted the triangle at the end. I tried it completely glossy and it just didn’t have the same pop!

IMG_5608

The base color here is yet another new holiday polish that I received from Nail Polish Canada. This one is called Tilted, by ILNP. What you see here are two thin coats of the polish, which shifts from indigo to purple to burgundy to red-gold to green. I posted a photo taken in my living room (hence the really funny lighting!) since I went downstairs to play some mariokart with a friend and the shift was super crazy strong! Under direct light its mostly an indigo and purple with hints of burgundy.

IMG_5370

I have a slight problem…I definitely already own too many multichromes and in particular too many that start with purple. I think I might have to part with either this or one of my other three because this many is nuts! Or, I can make the shiftiest dragon egg every, but I would feel quite foolish wasting such a pretty color with polish that doesn’t make your nails fall off :-p

IMG_5431

Colors:
~ Purple multichrome: ILNP – Tilted
~ Gold multichrome: Catrice – Genius in the Bottle
~ Gold glitter: ILNP – Clockwork
~ Black: Sinful Colors – Black on Black
~ Stamp: EdM – 03

IMG_8570

I am a bit surprised at how hard it is to gradient with multichromes. Genius in the Bottle did NOT want to go on in any meaningful way! It is usually a gold-copper-green shifter and all you really see here is the gold. Still cool, but not quite what I was going for.

IMG_5525

Hope you enjoyed! I am returning today, so I hope I can throw together a new post by Friday. If not, just know that it is Match day for residency and I might instead be out partying (or hiding away if I don’t get one of my top 5 choices).

Mind the Grey Gaps

Happy New Years! This was not intended as a New Years mani since I wore it early in December, but it is sufficiently glittery, and all that I really have on deck at the moment so here we are!

IMG_8170

The design was, yet again, inspired by Sveta Sanders. I should have just gone with the naked nail base, but I thought the purple and grey would go well together! I regret that decision, as it made the whole design look much darker than intended. Also, I should probably have done this mani with longer nails! And I was trying to decide between ALL of my multichromes for this mani…and ended up going with a holographic multichrome.

IMG_8172

I feel like I should probably let you all know that I will not be responding to comments or anything for a little over a week, as I am on a cruise boat somewhere in the Caribbean! Given how cold the east coast is right now, this whole beachy summer boat thing is pretty darn awesome, or so I assume 🙂

IMG_3889

Colors:
~ Grey: Zoya – Dove
~ Purple holo multichrome: Emily de Molly – State of Mind

IMG_3853

The one biggest triumph here though is the design on my pointer: I need you all to know that I used striping tape to make that triangle base. And a little bit of creative polishing. I do not own those cool triangle stencils that everyone else seems to have! Anyway, happy New Years and I hope you guys all had fun last night!

Snowflake Multichrome

Snowflake time! I figured it was about right to start posting some real winter nail art. However, I am also sick so these almost didn’t get edited since I slept half the day!

IMG_3780

The design was inspired by Sveta Sanders <<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZamJx99H4wo>>, because I keep stalking her instagram and finding new awesome things that I need to replicate. Now, she used chrome powder and I used multichrome nail polish, but the result was the same. Next time (and there will be a next time, I rather love this), I will use a slightly more consistent design than snowflakes.

IMG_8155

I am also glad that my nails are much less stained than they used to (I think I have the interview season to thank for not being able to wear any bright blues or dark greens), so I can actually have some naked nails! This will never happen again, sadly.

I have at least two other snow-themed manis coming up at some point, I hate painting snowflakes but I love stamping them! I should, at some point, buy a dedicated snowflake plate.

IMG_3805

Hope you enjoyed!

Baubles

This mani is…fairly random. I figured it was about time to start posting some actual holiday nail art, so here we are!

IMG_3720

I am going to pretend that these are ornaments on a tree. I did mean to make them gold and green for Christmas, so let’s go with it! I just didn’t figure they would end up quite so…gold.

IMG_3708

The only colors here are the green-to-blue multichrome, which is Reminisce by ILNP and black which is Black on Black by Sinful Colors. The stamp is from BM plate XL209, because I’ve always enjoyed bubble-looking designs!

IMG_3700

I then decided to try out some of the gold studs I was sent from the Born Pretty Store. Now, this particular set also has starfish and seashells…and was supposed to arrive back in June but it came with this batch in November instead! So instead I am using some less summer-y gold bits, but this summer I WILL be using those adorable seashells.

IMG_8130

Anyway, I used the smallest circle studs and the empty circle studs here. I must say, I was impressed by how easily the hollow circles stayed on, despite their large size! The gold color did not run off with top coat, which has happened with some other 3D bits I’ve used. Overall, quite nice! If you want to pick up this stud set, head over to the Born Pretty Store, where you can find it for $2.29. Enjoy!

Shifted Average

A couple months ago I joined a group called the Polish Pickup Pack. I had been seeing ‘boxes’ for a while where every month they advertised a different set of polish but you had to buy all of them! Then PPP came along…and its actually quite cool! A whole bunch of indie polish makers each create a polish around a theme (mythical creatures, gemstones, holidays), and you can buy, or not buy, anything you want. Unfortunately, they only sell the polish for one week out of a month, and once that one week is over the polish will never be sold again. That said, I have picked up some REALLY cool polish!

IMG_3508

The one I am showing you here is from the October theme of “mythical creatures”, although I only received it in November since it takes a while for the makers to actually bottle and then ship all the polish. Still, this polish is freaking beautiful and worth waiting for! I have found in any given month that some of the polishes are really NOT my style, and some months many are right up my alley.

IMG_3522

This is three coats of Not Your Average Seahorse by Blush Lacquers. I have never tried a Blush polish before, but they killed it with this one! I don’t actually know how to describe this. The base is a deep navy blue jelly with a scattered holo finish. However, it also has a bright orange to gold to green shimmer that is made up of tiny flakies (wow), PLUS actual larger flakies that are green to purple to pink. It is ridiculous and I love it. I actually put it on my shelf with my multichrome polishes despite it not TECHNICALLY being a multichrome, because it doesn’t fit anywhere else!

IMG_3481

Anyway. I then colored in a triangular stamp with some black to add a bit of contrast, and stamped in gold. I do a bit wish that I had kept the black stripes in the same location on each nail, but I was going for something a bit more interesting? Regardless, I think it looks pretty cool!

IMG_8097

Colors:
~ Blue shifting: Blush Lacquers – Not Your Average Seahorse
~ Gold: Essie – Good as Gold

IMG_3511

I bought one more polish from this particular month’s polish pickup pack that I’ll have up on the blog in a bit, and two from the December theme. Nothing struck my fancy from November. Regardless, if you are interested, you can join the Facebook group or just check out the offerings at the beginning of each month. I am a fan!

Foiled Foliage

I think I am pun-y! Well, it isn’t a pun, the title is basically just alliteration but it still makes me happy. As does this mani! It is technically still autumn…and currently the ground in Philly is completely covered in leaves. It is pretty, crunchy, and utterly ridiculous. When I walk outside I feel like I am eating leaves!

The base polish here is intended, I think, as a topper…but I wanted to make it opaque! This is three coats of Raging Fire by Born Pretty over one thin coat of a dark red base. Honestly, this polish was almost completely opaque at two coats! The final coat was mostly for my pinky, which I had painted more sparsely than the others. Despite looking uneven, the glitter was actually quite smooth after one coat of top coat. That said, the polish itself is thick and a bit goopy…good for dense flakie placement but it would have been difficult to get a light coat of polish.

The flakies themselves shift from pink/red to orange/copper to gold and emerald green at sharp angles. Since the flakes are at slightly different angles to each other, it is actually easy to get the whole color shift! It was mesmerizing.

I then made stamping decals using a left design from plate Floral BPX-L018 with Essie Good as Gold and colored in between the leaves with OPI Visions of Love. It looks quite fun and glittery! I know I could have instead just painted the leaves of the stamping decal with flakies…but this was so much more fun :-p

And, surprisingly, this was pretty easy to remove! Since they are flakies and not true glitter, they dissolve with acetone. The dark red was more painful since the color tends to stain my cuticles. If you want to pick up this flakie polish for yourself, head over to the Born Pretty Store, where you can find it on sale for $3.69. Enjoy!
