I feel like every time I want to use a lot of multichrome polishes I always think the end result will be prettier than it is. Don’t get me wrong, I find this mani quite pretty…just not as pretty as it could be if the colors shifted EVEN MORE.
As it stands, I looks like I used 8-10 colors per nail when I only used 5. But it is hard to tell within one nail where each color is because they shift! But I wanted to play with them anyway so here we are. This happens every time I get a new multichrome :-p
I have a separate post coming up that highlights the base polish here, so I’m not going to focus on it. Basically, I love shifty polishes and I didn’t have a golden copper yet.
Its so hard to convince myself not to go buy more shifters! They are so pretty! But they are almost impossible to wear to the hospital (the polish is downright distracting), and since there are now SO MANY COLORS by SO MANY BRANDS I don’t even know which ones look the same or different anymore! No one owns them all (that would be crazy) so I can’t get a side-by-side 😦

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed! Maybe next time I’ll remember to stick to one or two shifty polishes, not a whole boatload 😀
Remember how I said I only managed to get around to posting two out of three enchanted polishes that I now own? Well, here is the third! With a stamp of course, because I never have time for freehand these days
The base here is three thin coats of Kids by Enchanted Polish. Out of all my EPs, this was the one that I wanted the MOST. I kept seeing these awe-inspiring polishes where it was a bright aqua turquoise-blue to indigo to magenta and I NEEDED to have it. Luckily, it came back into stock! So really, this polish is the reason I bought the other two.
This is only funny because out of the three, Kids was not my favorite! Don’t get me wrong, this polish is amazing. Under most lights it is a blue-to-purple shifting polish with such dense holo that it is almost a bit greyed-out. That being said, it is quite pretty. The real magic is when it catches the light, and does this awesome bright-aqua flare thing (see the sunlight photos). I don’t think it stands out much from the ILNP multichrome holos other than this flare…but the flare is AMAZING. I am glad I bought this polish, despite the price tag!
Since it was so pretty, I didn’t want to cover it up, so I grabbed a stamping plate and just had fun. I think it came out looking kinda fun, a bit polynesian! I had just seen a TV add for Moana, so maybe that’s where the idea came from :-p

That’s all for today! Hope you enjoyed! And if anyone knows when EP goes on sale let me know in the future…I have my eyes on a few others now too 😀
I cannot with this polish. It is too darn pretty. A few months ago, I bought three Enchanted Polish holo multichrome ridiculous polishes. This one was added almost as an afterthought, but I am so so so glad I got it! Of the three (and sorry, I’ve only shown you one other so far) this is my surprise favorite.
What we have here is three thin coats of Congratulations by Enchanted Polish. Congratulations is a reddish-gold to orange to gold to green (OMG) multichrome with a strong holo finish. In indirect light, it is more of a golden-red with green at the edges. In direct light it is an almost magenta-red. It’s amazing.
Sorry for the funny color of my fingers in these photos, the polish was freaking out the camera! When I tried to color-correct my skin, it actually messed up the color of the polish. Polish >> skin color, so here you go!
I water-speckled a dark brown polish over the crazy multichrome holo, mostly because I didn’t want to cover up too much of the base color. It actually came out rather nice, for a really quick mani!

The more I look at these photos, the more I want to put this polish back on tonight. Its ridiculous how pretty it is. Shifty and glittery! This also reminds me that I have a whole bunch of new polishes that I haven’t actually shared yet…whoops!
I’ll try to get my top-10 posted for next week (top 10 polishes, top 10 personal nail art…and I don’t know what I’ll do on Friday. Any suggestions?). Happy almost-weekend!
So, golden-red-copper totally counts as Thanksgiving-themed, right? Maybe? Who knows. All I can really say is that I am SPEECHLESS by this polish!
I’ve been staring at Enchanted Polish for years. Who wouldn’t? They make ridiculously pretty and ridiculously expensive polishes that I could just never convoke myself were worth it. Usually, I’d find one I wanted after looking at 52034820 swatches, and it would be sold out forever. So….when I saw that three of the polishes I’ve wanted for a very very long time were available (thanks to Cathy, whose recent swatch sent me over to the EP website) I had to get them. These were actually basically a wedding gift to myself, because I just cannot justify spending $50 on three polishes otherwise!
Honestly, this might be the oddest chameleon of the three that I got, and I love the colors that it goes through. It is also appropriately fall-themed! This is I Am The Walrus by Enchanted Polish. It covered well in three thin coats, and dried nicely. Although there were brushstrokes when I applied it, they disappeared when it dried! Looking through this, I can see primarily wine red in direct light and a golden-copper in indirect light. It goes through some crazy mix of magenta-wine-copper-gold-green. It really looks like wearing two different polishes depending on the light, since the magenta and the copper-gold are different tones. It also, of course, has scattered fine holo shimmer throughout, so in sunlight it is ALSO a rainbow! I still feel bad for spending so much money on one polish…but try to tell me this isn’t amazing.
The design I went with was Inspired by MaryMaxNail. I decided to leave my middle finger more nude than my 4th finger as would be expected because my fourth finger has a little discoloration on it. Ergo, it looks a little funny! Still a fun mani.

I am still drooling. I wish I could get away with wearing colors like this to the hospital, but I think people would pay more attention to my nails than to what I was saying! Which would maybe be a good thing, but probably not. Oh well, happy almost-Thanksgiving!
YOU GUYS. I had SUCH a hard time completing this manicure but i LOVE it. Go figure!
I started with the base of another new-to-me ILNP, Ski Lodge. Ever since Mentality went belly-up and nails-down (ohhh my poor nails) I have been looking for a scattered dark green holo to replace one I got from them that I loved. I think I have found it!
Ski Lodge is a dark heather green (almost a dark olive rather than a dark emerald) with a ridiculous amount of larger holo shards and glitters and maybe some gold shimmer. I can’t even tell, there is so much glitter and depth to this! I am showing 3 coats, although I really could have stopped at two. It makes me happy.
I then grabbed another new Born Pretty Store stamping plate, BP-X06, and had a really difficult time picking what pattern to use and what color to stamp! I didn’t want to cover the glory that was Ski Lodge, and I always do green+gold so I wanted to change things up. I think I tried 5 different patterns and colors before I realized I could do something more subtle…like a silver-green-blue stamping multichrome over the dark green holo! So I went and grabbed Mutagen by ILNP and added using the chevron stamp.
Mutagen is not super opaque on its own, so the fact that you can clearly see the pattern (which I was really worried wouldn’t happen) is a testament to how well etched this plate is. Go plate! I added the LOVE stamp too, just for fun. I was going to use a light pink, but as it turns out neither of my two light pink polishes stamp well over dark green. Go figure.
If you want to pick up this stamping plate with all its fun geometric patterns, head over to the Born Pretty Store where its $1.99! Hope you enjoyed!
This mani makes me sad. There is one wonderful part and one should-have-been-wonderful part.
The wonderful part is the new polish, the base color here…or colors 😀 This is Reminisce by ILNP, a bright green-teal-blue-purple multichrome! And as with all other ILNP multichromes I am smitten. I already own Mutagen, which I intended to be a green-based multichrome but is honestly more of a silvery-pink in direct light. Still pretty, but not as bright green as I wanted! Reminisce’s primary direct light color is a vibrant green, and it has a decent shift (not quite as strong as some of the others) but its lovely. This is three thin coats.
The problem arose when I went to play with a new stamping plate that I was sent to review from the Born Pretty Store. Now, I love peacocks. I really really do. Their feathers make me squee with joy. I saw this plate and I knew I had to have it…peacock feathers and a peacock body?! Yes please!
Unfortunately, the plate barely works. I had to try every trick I know just to get the image to pick up at all, and even then it was very very faint. I couldn’t get the body of the peacock (what I really wanted) to transfer at all, and the feathers are rather in pieces. I tried for probably 35 minutes before just going with what I had. I added some gold dots to the eyes of the feathers because I could.
So, while you can pick up this peacock stamping plate from the Born Pretty Store, I can’t recommend it! The design is beautiful but very poorly etched. It is probably just an issue on a few plates, but I can’t tell you to get something that I can barely use. Regardless, it is 99 cents right now at the Born Pretty Store.
That being said, you can totally buy the peacock-colored Reminisce from ILNP (no, I do not review for them, I just reallllly like the polish)! So, failed peacock but happy peacock colors!
