Ominous Forest Skies

This is an oddly dark manicure. I am not usually so goth! I just saw a stamp I liked but had no idea how to use it, and wanted to use a magnetic polish…so I put the two thoughts together. The end result is stormy, dark, and surprisingly pretty.

When I moved my nails the appearance of silver clouds would shift (thanks magnetic polish!) and I really loved the effect. I finally bought one of those ring magnets to play with my polish, and have yet to use it! I need to remember how pretty magnetic polish is so I reach for it shortly 😀 Hope you enjoyed!

Dangling Sky

I just saw this one stamp and knew I needed to use it. I do not regret that decision. This whole design was based around being able to use the stamp that you can see on my ring finger and thumb. With that in mind I REALLY should have chose a photo that shows my full thumb! Oops :-/

I was still (as mentioned on Wednesday) in a purple phase at this point. But honestly its such a cool color! And it pairs well with just about everything! Also, stars and moons…and just general awesomeness in the sky 🙂 Hope you all enjoyed!

Golden Aurora

You guys! This was very easy and looked so darn awesome. Although at least a part of that might have to do with my aurora obsession. Anyway. As mentioned on Wednesday this is another glitter stamping design using a new plate from the Born Pretty Store, Nicole Diary – 090. I again started with a normal polish base (Ibiza by Zoya), matted it, put gold glitter on the stamper head, and then stamped as normal with black polish. The design (including the tiny little dots) transferred remarkably well!

In terms of the design, the etchings on the plate are fun, if oddly sized. Of course, it doesn’t help that I accidentally placed the aurora design upside-down (oops)! I’ll have to use the same stamp at some point but with a gradient background or something. I am looking forward to it!

Honestly I mostly wanted this plate for that aurora image, I have been obsessed with the aurora since seeing it in Iceland in March! I should try a winter-colored one instead of just blue (lets see how long it takes me to actually make this happen…). Regardless, I hope you guys enjoyed! You can find the stamping plate here for $2.29 and the gold powder here for $1.79 (it has gone up in price since Wednesday?).

Fanned Leaves

his came out pretty cool in the end? Although my gold glitter on gold multichrome was maybe a miss, you can hardly see the glitter! I just really wanted to use this Catrice polish, and for some reason figured a tone-matched gold glitters was the best way to jazz up the stamps. Clearly it didn’t need much jazzing since it still looks reasonably good even without being able to see the glitter!

The stamp itself is a pretty cool one from the Born Pretty Store. It is full of space, celestial, and nature themes, many of them with dots! I think I have used over half the stamps from the plate since I got it for review, but I can’t remember if I posted the link yet. So, you can get this stamping plate here for $2.99. Hope you enjoyed!
