These were fun! I was inspired by some sponged shard nail art at More Nail Polish but decided to try it with fall-themed colors instead!
The base for this is my new nude, and I love it! I’ve been looking for a good almost-skin-tone shade for a while. While this is paler than my hands, I love the way it looks. Meet Chantal by Zoya. Wonderfully self-leveling, opaque in two coats. She is from the Naturel Part 1 collection (just like yesterday’s polish Rue).
Once Chantal was dry, I added lots of tiny bits of scotch tape and went to town dabbing fall colored polish on my nails! So much fun 😀

~ Orange: Zoya – Thandie
~ Yellow: WOW – #301

~ Dark brown: Zoya – Louise
I have a few more fall and Halloween themed nail art bits coming up, and a fun piece that is totally unrelated tomorrow! Hope you enjoyed 🙂
I was really intrigued by the hot pink shards in Disillusion by Cult Nails, and set about creating a hot pink and black manicure! I was aided in this pursuit by my newest acquisition: neon studs from the Born Pretty Store.
I started with two thin coats of Disillusion over one coat of black creme. When that had dried, I painted on white stripes, covered them with hot pink, and then painted black on the top border. The hot pink REALLY popped! I’m not sure if it wasn’t too bright (hehe oops) but it certainly got attention!
I finished the look using 2mm square matte pink studs. They come in a rhinestone wheel with a lot of other fun bits, which I will be showing you over the next few weeks! Suffice to say, this nail wheel is HOT (because the colors are all neon). I did not top coat the studs, to preserve the matte finish. I think this design might have also looked cool matted, but matted manis never last as long and this one had to last almost a whole week!
