This may or may not have been directly inspired by the tagline on Cherish. And I may or may not almost have added some 3D diamond-esque rhinestones and decided that would ruin the look. You’ll never know!
This is one of the rare occasions when, despite painting both hands, you are mostly only seeing my right! When I was in the hospital I could not go off-handed (when the nail polish on one hand is different than the other) because that would be incredibly unprofessional…but the designs were seldom perfectly identical! In the case of this mani, I was moving around the stamped image from nail to nail and I actually liked my right hand better (mostly cause of my pointer finger).
Regardless, this is a bit of a boring mani, sorry! That said, after this post…there are only two hospital manis left! For a while at least (I go back to the clinic next month but there is quite a back-log of posts during my month of free time!).

So yep, a bit boring, but so be it. I’ll likely get at least one of the remaining boring ones out of the way next week so we can move on to RAINBOWS and SPARKLES. 😀
Another hospital manicure! At least this one came out how I wanted it to 😀
These are pretty darn simple! Two colors, one stamp. The design was inspired by Pink and Polished Nails and for once I actually had the EXACT colors AND the stamp! So this is just about ideal.
Despite how simple these were, I actually enjoyed wearing them. They were fairly classy while still looking elegant! Although if I ever do this again I will use some other color besides boring pink as a base. Maybe red? Purple? Anything!

In other news, I was hit by a car while riding my bike yesterday. I’m alright (some bruises and scrapes and injured muscles but nothing that needed me to go to the hospital…but if you bike ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET) but it’s a bit hard to edit photos with my left arm mostly out of commission! I’ll try to get stuff done so I can post next week, but this is the last pre-planned post I have so if I don’t post monday blame my left arm and cars that don’t signal or look before they turn. That’s all for this week, hope you enjoyed!
Sometimes I just like to play with monochrome! In this case, I was excited to see that I actually had enough holo polish to make a gradient! Well, technically the black polish was a creme, but over a holo it still looked suitably glittery!
I actually did a second very similar mani (different stamp) that I like much better, but I’ll show that later. This one ended up looking like netting.
Remarkably, I got away with wearing this in the hospital…pathology is much more lenient about nail polish! Maybe because there was absolutely zero patient interaction?

Next week starts my two weeks on outpatient in this rotation block, so I should be able to wear polish again. It really makes me angry when people enforce rules (like no nail polish in the OR) that have been throughly debunked. Regardless, I hope you enjoyed this mani!
I bought this particular polish on a whim, mostly because I wanted another polish in this collection and felt like placing and order for a single polish was silly. Jokes on me though…I actually like this one even better than the one I initially wanted! That always seems to happen :-p
This is Sapphire by KBShimmer, from the birthstone collection (I also got Ruby…which I posted about back in December). I cannot resist polishes that are jewel toned, saturated with metallic silver shards, and have holo in them. I now own 5!!! Sapphire is probably the darkest and most pigmented one in my collection though, since the other three non-KBShimmer ones are gold/silver/rose gold in tone.
This polish took two thin coats to cover (I probably could have gotten away with one if I applied it thicker). It dries down remarkably smoothly given all the glitter in it as well! The best part: removal wasn’t even that difficult! Maybe it’s because the glitter is in shards rather than hex shapes, and so catches my removing pad better? I don’t know why, but I am grateful! Regardless, Sapphire is a beautiful deep blue-jean/sapphire blue. I should have taken a photo with my sapphire engagement ring! Whoops. Either way, it is stunning.
I am a bit sad that I added the rhinestones before top coat though, they always go from hexagonal and shiny to looking matte with regular top coat. I think I’ve finally figured out a work-around for this problem, but since I actually painted these back in October I wasn’t thinking too deeply about it a week before the wedding. Whoops!

I didn’t want to cover too much of the polish with a design…so I turned to my best pretty-but-minimal stamping plate (EdM 03) and just picked one. Ta-da! Hope you enjoyed!
It’s cold out, so I can use thermal polish! I honestly remember this one being MORE shifty than it currently is, but thats alright. It still shifts and it is still pretty! I want to go use my other two shift polishes and see how they behave now as well 😀 especially after all the fun I’ve had with the new ones from Bow Polish (although, I technically painted these first in anticipation of getting the new ones).
Really, this was just a fun little thing that I put together. I figured a self-forming gradient counts as a gradient, and just stamped over a simple polish. Unfortunately, that meant that the nails chipped easier (since it was fewer layers of polish) but it was also much faster!
I also wish I could wear more purple polish…I don’t know how acceptable jewel-colored polish is. I think I should be ok for the next two weeks, since I am conveniently going to be on service with some friends of mine! But that really only gives me time for 3-4 manis. Oh well.

Hope you enjoyed, simple but pretty!
So, golden-red-copper totally counts as Thanksgiving-themed, right? Maybe? Who knows. All I can really say is that I am SPEECHLESS by this polish!
I’ve been staring at Enchanted Polish for years. Who wouldn’t? They make ridiculously pretty and ridiculously expensive polishes that I could just never convoke myself were worth it. Usually, I’d find one I wanted after looking at 52034820 swatches, and it would be sold out forever. So….when I saw that three of the polishes I’ve wanted for a very very long time were available (thanks to Cathy, whose recent swatch sent me over to the EP website) I had to get them. These were actually basically a wedding gift to myself, because I just cannot justify spending $50 on three polishes otherwise!
Honestly, this might be the oddest chameleon of the three that I got, and I love the colors that it goes through. It is also appropriately fall-themed! This is I Am The Walrus by Enchanted Polish. It covered well in three thin coats, and dried nicely. Although there were brushstrokes when I applied it, they disappeared when it dried! Looking through this, I can see primarily wine red in direct light and a golden-copper in indirect light. It goes through some crazy mix of magenta-wine-copper-gold-green. It really looks like wearing two different polishes depending on the light, since the magenta and the copper-gold are different tones. It also, of course, has scattered fine holo shimmer throughout, so in sunlight it is ALSO a rainbow! I still feel bad for spending so much money on one polish…but try to tell me this isn’t amazing.
The design I went with was Inspired by MaryMaxNail. I decided to leave my middle finger more nude than my 4th finger as would be expected because my fourth finger has a little discoloration on it. Ergo, it looks a little funny! Still a fun mani.

I am still drooling. I wish I could get away with wearing colors like this to the hospital, but I think people would pay more attention to my nails than to what I was saying! Which would maybe be a good thing, but probably not. Oh well, happy almost-Thanksgiving!
The title is a pun! Because the base color is named Rue. I might be tired.
Anyway, today is “delicate print” day. I have a LOT of lace manis to pick from in my to-be-posted folder, mostly because I painted a lot of subtle lace (ok, I stamped a lot of subtle lace) while I was in the hospital. This might be the least-subtle of the ones I have, so here we go!
Despite the colors being actually quite different here, no one noticed my nails in the hospital! It helps that my entire team was male (I mean, it is surgery), so maybe they didn’t even think to look! I also didn’t cut the nails on my left hand down quite as much my last week (although I did on my right, which you don’t get to see since they are the same pattern. I can be professional!).

So, subtle (ish) nail art for the hospital, but still delicate! Tomorrow’s nail art is NOT in the delicate spectrum 😀
