This was just for fun! I had a full afternoon off (that never happens!) and decided that meant I had enough time to play with stamping tape. I used a three-color gradient and then a two-color over it (my darker purple was not transferring enough hue so I used a darker blue and then covered it with the purple again). Then I decided I wanted more design so I stamped a diamond at the bottom. I quite liked these!

I feel like I go through cycles with colors. Sometimes I will end up using reds for a whole month, then purples. I try to remind myself to vary it, but I end up stuck in a color-loving rut! These, clearly, happened in a purple-centric time for me. Friday’s nails did too :-p stay tuned! Hope you enjoyed 🙂
Every time, this polish gets me! Let’s Talk is a stunning dark purple metallic polish that turns slightly blue when top coat is added. And it eats polish like thats its JOB. Gah!
I wanted to make a gold-and-purple mani involving a gold glitter triangle, a gold border, and some more glitter just for fun. In the one photo below BEFORE I added top coat, you can see what I was going for…
…and you can see how it failed. The purple polish ate the gold polish. AND THEN IT ATE THE GOLD GLITTER. I didn’t even know that was possible!!! On the plus side, this polish does not stain at all (somehow). I just…need to remember to give up using it with nail art. So sad!

I also do not understand why my phone can capture this polish as purple and my actual camera will only see blue. Harumph! Hope you enjoyed!
I have a secret folder of pinterest pins that I turn to for nail art ideas. And by “secret folder” I mean “I like them instead of pin them elsewhere”. Today’s manicure comes straight from one of these secret pins!
I absolutely loved the gradient design by rubyrominaa on IG. I didn’t want to use the same colors, so I pulled out a fun gradient of my own featuring three pink-to-deep-red shimmer polishes over rose gold. Because…why not?

I forget how much I love doing gradients with metallic polishes! They are SO MUCH FASTER than using cremes. Although they are a bit harder to get off the surrounding finger!
By far the hardest part of this mani was placing 14+ pieces of striping tape per nail. But the end result was totally worth it! I might have to try this again with a green-blue pallet 🙂
